Dear All,

I remember whenever we had a free period in school, we begged the substitute teacher to tell us stories. To foster the spirit of creativity in the children, the teacher invited the kids to take it by turn, to share stories they had heard of. We listened in rapt attention, to stories of Hansel and Gretel, Thumbelina, the Big Bad wolf...and even though we knew them, we loved to hear them again and again...

I thought I would be great if we could take a little time out of our daily humdrum lives and create stories...chuck in a little imagination...play with words...make something out of nothing!

This is how it works...we will start a storyline every Friday (no real reason for Friday other than the psychological bit of the week coming to an end and therefore more inclined to let your hair down to write something...) Anyone can start a couple of sentences and then people can continue the story...Eventually after a week when the story has developed with its twists and turns we can start a new one...

So here is the first story...

They say that when you try to escape from something, the universe tries its best to bring it in front of you, as if to test your limits. And that's exactly what happened to Miser Mutthu!

Why is life so Unpredictable

At times I sit and think why is life so scary and unpredictable..You think of something and whatever happens it’s all together so very different from what you thought it to be. I am a person who likes predictable in my life.
No matter what you think it never works out as you plan, except for sometimes when we make choices. Taking a correct decision, making a right choice is very important in our life. Life is too short. It can be complicated if you want to make it otherwise it is very simple. It can be happy rewarding journey with simple answers. Our choice in life will make what life is and how you want it to be.
When we were young and start out in life there were so many questions which were unanswered in our heart and mind. Slowly and gradually as we grew older and start doing more with our lives, we still look for those unwavering questions. Our quench to find the most appropriate outlook increases, as life itself expands and reflects itself as a learning curve. It can take lifelong to be taught and to explore solutions.
Luckily I got such people around me, my family and friends who have always being my source of strength. Thank you god for all this!! I feel truly blessed  :)

The things we don't appreciate in life

In our fast laned formula one lives, work has taken first priority for many, but few realize that working was just a means of sustenance and not way of life..but with the advent of capitalism, came the onset of greed, wants started to outnumber needs. Satisfying the ever increasing wants turned into a spiral that resulted in sacrificing our lives and enslaving our future.

Life is supposed to be simple, it is supposed to be a wonderful journey, a journey filled with love, exploration, discovery, exhilaration, wonder and happiness. Have you experienced any one of these lately?

Work is constant, individuals who matter to you are not...time does not age...humans do and before you know it ..you are by yourself and you dont like what you see in the mirror, cause you never took the time to fall in love with yourself nor others.

“We are not human beings having a spiritual experience. We are spiritual beings having a human experience”

I ME MYSELF

The title and the picture may mislead you into thinking that I am going to talk about myself here. But that’s not true. The title- I me myself is intentionally used to talk about how the young generation (including me) project themselves.

Today’s socially connected generation may posts pictures on facebook, update status on whatsapp but the question is, do they even take a break and think about themselves seriously. We project ourselves as I can do anything, I am the go getter, I don’t care, I am too busy to breathe, please like my pictures, I love animals etc… But are we really any of those mentioned above or we are happy with the social masks we wear…

Project yourself anyhow you want… that is not the problem here…The problem is do we really know who we are or what we are turning into… Do we give time to ourselves?

We all are so stuck in our routines that we have forgotten that ‘I me myself’ needs some ‘me’ time too. We believe in ‘going with the flow’ mentality. We keep complaining that we have no time to spend with our family & friends. Do we say I have no time to spend with myself? Probably not!

You need to spend some quality time with yourself too. Excuses won’t work here…”You don’t get time you need to manage time.”

All I want to say is … take a break when you feel you haven’t seen yourself in the mirror at all. It’s ok to pamper ‘I me myself’ sometimes… :)

Disclaimer: Any resemblance to real people in this article is purely coincidental :)

Consciousness

"Humans in its current form of evolution, are like wandering sheep without a shepherd"

Consciousness is wisdom passed on from generation to generation, the ancients could tap into such existing consciousness through the activation of their third eye - pineal gland. The atlantians, sumarians and egyptians achieved great heights though the use of this wisdom. just imagine once you reach the age of adolescence you could learn everything that the world has knowledge about and then your responsibility was to take that knowledge to greater heights. With the advent of religions and the quest for religious supremacy, animalistic instincts took over intellectual stimulation and we returned back to our carnal state.

99.9% of whatever we learn or whatever knowledge is available is not more than 3000 years old...imagine what the 0.01% percent know. As someone rightly  said "Knowledge is Power". So my question to you is, was there something that people like Hitler, Alexander the Great, Constantine, Napolean knew, that you in your wildest imagination cannot fathom.. your senses cannot comprehend!!

Magic in City – Mumbai

Mumbai – a city which is always running, screaming, dancing, laughing, jumping, sparkling.... super active and brave city that doesn't get scared of terrorist or bomb blast or any calamity. It is called a dream city where people come with lot of dreams in their eyes to fulfil. It is home to bollywood, known for its local trains, bhelpuri and vada pav. A city that never sleeps and people live a very fast paced life.

People love to munch on snacks (referred to as CHAAT) in the evening. As the sun sets, people pour out onto the streets and crowd at the snack stands, as the normal dinner time is 9.30 -10pm. Street food is delicious and also you'll often see people going for an evening walk, no doubt to burn off all the snacks they've eaten!

One day my friend introduced me to her friend saying she is her train friend, I wondered about the connection made during the long travel, cleaning some veggies, knitting or listening to radio are common pass time during travel by train but there are drawbacks too, the trains are extremely overcrowded, the doors constantly have passengers hanging out of them and never close, and people even travel sitting on the train roof. Do injuries occur? All the time! It's a common occurrence for passengers to fall out of, or get pushed out of, trains in Mumbai. Travelling in trains is no less than adventurous trip, getting a seat in train give a sense of achievement.

Isn't it strange that the city which hardly sleeps is still called the ‘city of dreams’? There is often a debate on whether Mumbai is a suitable place to live in; whether it’s a city of dreams or a living nightmare? Every city has some kind of problems, once anyone gets the taste of the Mumbai, it is almost impossible to leave, life seems to come to a standstill away from this ‘city that never sleeps’!

Despite city being known for its craziness, madness, “bhagam-bhag”, noise & chaos....................... I still find peace in madness, silence in noise & joy in chaos, a city where I have grown. I love Mumbai!!
